Buried beneath this pile of snow in front of city hall, there are two bike racks. What are they doing under there? Nothing. What could they be doing? Holding bikes. What are we going to do about it? Make a big cranky fuss, that’s what.

Remarks: Seriously though, this one goes out to you: The Stubborn Winter Cyclist. With your touque stuffed under your helmet and your heart filled with an equal mixture of determination and crazy, you pedal through the winter. It’s admirable, especially in the face of such discouragement. Speaking on behalf of the vacationing Phelan, HRM parks spokesperson Maureen Cullen assures us that “this won’t happen again,” which sounds like we’ve just scored a blow for frozen bikers everywhere. Huzzah!
