Remarks: The bench has been missing its seat for a long time. It’s a perpetual tease. We should note that Maitland Street, just behind the bench, is not heavily travelled, but that’s precisely what makes it so appealing as an impromptu pit stop. Just imagine! A thermos of coffee, your person of choice and the crisp winter air. That may be a bit too romantic for December in Halifax, but what can we say? On Patrol is filled with the magic of the holidays and feeling particularly sappy these days. However, even the biggest Scrooge among us could use a seat after a hard day of shopping on Gottingen Street and its environs. So, we know everyone’s busy this time of year, but a proper bench would be such a nice gesture. We’ll bring the coffee.
