Fable III

Xbox 360, Windows (Microsoft Game Studios)

The third part of Microsoft’s fantasy role-playing game, Fable III, should be better and bigger than its predecessors, but the series has taken a step backwards. Your character is the prince or princess of Albion and your kingdom is adjusting to the industrial age. Don’t worry---magic and swords are still a huge part of this world, but so are factories and child labour. This time you’re taking on your tyrannical king brother who is ruling with an iron fist. Your mission is to lead a successful uprising and take the throne for yourself. Combat is fun and voice acting is also well done between primary characters, however, interacting with townspeople sounds like listening to the nonsense Sims language. The game is not as exciting as it should be, suffering from constant drops in frame rate, glitches and boring missions. On top of being extremely easy, the game feels like a chore.
