To the editor,

I must object to the abuse being hurled at the drivers of Metro Transit (i.e. last week's Bitch). These people put up with a lot of shit.

There are numerous accounts of bus drivers being assaulted physically and I am sure there are at least 10 times as many verbal assaults being launched at them. This happens on a daily basis.

I have been taking the bus from central Halifax to Burnside for the last 10 years. I know that buses will be late and that they will be early from time to time.

SUCK IT UP!

If you don't like it, buy a car and sit in traffic and complain like so many other motorists. I get to my bus stop at least 10 minutes before I know I need to be there. READ THE DAMN BUS SCHEDULE! There are usually many options to travel from one place to another.

I admit I have run into some bus drivers who have been on the nasty side. Most of them are great and are tired of having to deal with all the crap that is out there on the roads from pedestrians and motorists.
