Concrete Asylum is wise beyond its years. Although the members of this crust-punk ensemble are all fresh-faced 20-somethings, they've collectively logged multiple hours on the road playing or roadie-ing with Contagium, and these mates---Adam Kindred, Cody Cross, Jason Vassalo and Ben Radford---also play in Negative Circles, Word on the Street, Castle Wolfenstein, Envision and more. "We've been playing in punk bands since we were little shits," says guitarist Kindred, who is also responsible for Concrete Asylum's rad album and poster artwork. After expressing a shared desire to play very hard and fast, the boys cranked out a juddering eight-song demo last December, and plan to follow that with another five-song release soon. "We just keep going faster and faster," says Cross. Whether he's talking about the music or the output is unclear, but either way, the tenacity of these young guns is admirable.
