"I just want to make people say 'wow!'" reported Wen Prathumma, co-owner, restaurant decorator and head chef of popular Thai restaurant Cha Baa. And since they opened in the summer of 2007, that's what we have been saying. Wow, wow, wow. A full Thai menu is available, as well as take out.

I quite agree; this is a wonderful Thai restaurant. I have no idea where they get those extremely fresh green beans. Always a delight and always on our list. Bravo! We need more restaurants like this in Halifax.
My favorite restaurant in Halifax - I believe I am addicted!!!! I always get their Green Curry and their Panang Beef. Oh MY God, it makes me feel I've died and gone to heaven. The waitresses are soooo nice and fast. It is the best. Second best is Talay Thai - skip all the others - the new one down by Argyle street is crap!
the only flavorful vegetarian food in halifax.. i recommend it to everyone!
the masaman is something i dream about.. the cashew tofu is great and so is the basil tofu
the service isnt bad considering some of the other places in this city. this is probably the only restaurant in Halifax that I wouldn't shoot off about, nothing else compares!
Never had bad service and the food is absolutely amazing. I am a huge fan of their massaman beef curry lunch special! Great meal for about $12. Also, you don't get chopsticks because Thais do not eat with chopsticks they use a fork to push food onto a spoon (at least that is what I've been told). Never had any problems with the service, usually friendly and quick!
Mmm, I love their green curry, and their mixed vegetable dish.
I've never had any problems with the service; the servers have always been very nice and efficient. Also, every time I go there, I've been given chopsticks but every other table seems to get forks by default. *shrugs* I guess I just look like I know how to use chopsticks.
