Joanna Thurlow’s yoga space on Dresden Row isn’t new to winning Best of Halifax, but she says it’s still emotional, just the same. “Winning the Best of Halifax is always really exciting but it’s also really humbling because it gives me this deep feeling of ’OK, we have to live up to this,’” she says. “And nobody here takes it for granted.” Thurlow adds that a passionate team with a love for perfecting their craft, down to the last downward dog, makes a difference that clients can feel: “I think that we offer a level of consistency in the quality of the classes we offer.”
