Best Visual Artist

Four-time best visual artist Mitchell Wiebe has had a busy year, though we’re not really surprised by that. The current QEII Health Sciences Centre artist-in-residence has had three big shows—at the Dal and YHZ and Owens art galleries—and beyond that, his work seems to be, well, all over the city. It’s astonishing stuff, really, all those unicorns and teddy bears, and absolutely larger than life. And you can’t get enough of it.
