We don’t often get new libraries, so is it any wonder the yet-to-be-opened Halifax Central Library earned the top spot for Best Thing To Happen In Halifax This Year? Thankfully, it had stiff competition with all the other good things that have been increasingly springing up in our city. Whether that’s the #ProLove activism that countered hateful anti-abortion protests, or just the city finally getting around to blowing up the Cogswell Interchange. There’s a lot to smile about these days in Halifax.
