Best Male Theatre Actor 2007 | Jeremy Webb | Arts + Culture

Best of Halifax

Best Male Theatre Actor

Jeremy Webb

“Who knew?” says Jeremy Webb, over his cell from Ontario. “It’s only taken 10 years. That’s cool.” It’s been a fruitful ten years since Webb moved to Halifax, having worked as The Buzz man at the Daily News, as well as treading the boards in Halifax, recently as The Clock in Beauty and the Beast at Neptune. Right now he’s touring Canada, visiting theatres and introducing himself, looking to expand his acting and geographic range. “But, this is going to sound cheesy, I always call Halifax the promised land,” he says, on the road to New York City, “The attitude of Haligonians to help people create work, it’s been great.”

First runner up: Ben Stone, Zuppa Circus

Second runner up: Réjean Cournoyer
