Centennial Pool

The cavernous Centennial—two-dollar swims!—has finally unseated Dalplex as your favourite place to dip a toe or two. And why shouldn’t it—it’s got a sense of history (built for the ’69 Canada Games), an endless water slide (well, it starts from 10 metres up) and all of those windows at the top, which allow for natural light, lessening that creepy ceiling reflection most indoor pools have. And it’s a long-course pool—one of only two in the SuperCity—which means you’ve got 50 metres to splash around in. 1970 Gottingen, 490-7219

Runner-up: Dalplex
