Hamachi has had a lock on this category with Coast readers for years, for a wide variety of reasons, and the updating of their menu is but one of them. "We just added new fusion maki rolls and a bento box on the lunch menu, as well as some Japanese appetizers," says Ivan Nickerson, the operations manager for the Hamachi restaurants. They make all their sauces in house (including the ginger carrot salad dressing and the teriyaki).
