The best thing since sliced bread are the things that chef Renée Lavallée is putting in between The Canteen’s house-baked loaves of it. The wee sandwich-centric restaurant shines down on Dartmouth from above Two If By Sea, serving seasonally-inspired sammies the size of your head and take-away meals. From the crobster roll to The Hangover, and the fried chicken to the otherworldly Big Daddy, Lavallée says her team’s creations are the tops because they “always take a ride to Flavourtown.”
