Chef’s Menu is a great place if you want to step it up a notch. While Sackville has lots of cozy family restaurants (like our silver winner, Tom’s), Jim Gill of Chef’s Menu says their introduction of casual fine dining filled a need that the town lacked. It’s “a little bit more upscale,” says Gill. “Though we’re not pretentious, still quite laidback.” The restaurant’s young staff members are creative and energetic, crafting lots of daily specials. “We’re often described as Sackville’s best-kept secret,” but he’s hoping this win will change that. Chef’s Menu’s Chicken Masala and pasta dishes are some crowd favourites, Gill says he is “glad to bring this style of dining to Sackville.”
