Your vote for Best Rock Band came from a variety of backgrounds, including metal and hardcore, but a common love of classic rock brought them together. “All of us grew up on classic rock so it’s important to us to keep the spirit of some of our favourite bands alive and well. There was so much emotion and energy put into the live performances of classic rock bands so we try our best make that prominent in our performances as well,” writes the band. And there will be plenty of opportunities to catch some of this energy, Electric Spoonful begins a residency at Gus’ Pub in November, playing every Wednesday night and have started a new online documentary series on its YouTube channel.
