The north end’s eyecandy signs (2891 Isleville Street, 429-8281) is the talented company that put together Venus Envy’s rocket sign. They also designed the previous version of the sign, back in 2003, but it was damaged in Hurricane Juan. Venus Envy owner Maggie Haywood says the sign company very kindly fixed that one and when the time came to update it from the orange to match the current pink-accented interior and exterior of the store, they delivered again. “I got a rocket in my pocket because of that sign,” reveals a reader.
