There are lots of undiscovered culinary gems in the SuperCity. You know, the kind of place that you stumble on, have a fantastic meal in, and then wonder why you’ve never heard of it. This year, the honour went to Mexico Lindo, Halifax’s only authentic Mexican restaurant. Its out-of-the-way location is one possible reason that its not better known; I can’t think of another because the food is fab. Runner-up was Phil’s Seafood on Quinpool, the sister restaurant of Phil’s Fish and Chips.
