When Jeremie Saunders started a podcast with a couple friends, Brian Stever and Taylor MacGillivary, in late 2015, he didn’t imagine it’d win awards or see him jet-setting across the country. But, it seems that his brand of irreverent humour has struck a chord as he tackles heavy topics surrounding illness. And the cystic fibrosis-battling host says the show’s been a blessing: “When I was a kid, I was granted a wish by, like, Make A Wish foundation or something. I wished for a shopping spree at the Halifax Shopping Centre. My parents didn’t step in,” he says, laughing. “Ever since then I’ve been waiting for a do-over, and this feels like it.”
