By your votes, Halifax, you’ve anointed the new Paramount complex on South Park Street as just such a building. “The city views are extraordinary from [inside] both buildings” writes Lindsay Downie, executive director of marketing and communications for Universal Properties, in an email. “But what sets the complex apart from others in the city is the street presence.” Presence, it has in spades, with its many windows dominating the front of the five-storey, boutique-style buildings, reflecting the beauty of the neighbourhood right back at itself.
