Based on the 1987 horror melt-movie Street Trash, directed by Dave Hung and shot mostly at Pro Skates, Cam Smith’s “Mad Crack” is a masterpiece in no-budget cinema, incorporating professional visual and special effects that include the skin searing off a hobo’s face with a banging drug-fueled soundtrack. “Dave just destroyed it, totally killed it,” says Smith. Hung adds, “This was the first music video I ever did, and everybody that was a part of it was a really good friend. Shout-out friendship on that video 100 percent.”
