Your favourite photographer kept busy last year working with festivals like Halifax Pop Explosion, Evolve, Ha!ifax ComedyFest and the Halifax International Busker Festival, plus his own event, the Battle SNAP competition. But Sm!th had a few favourites of his own: "For live eyecandy, it's hard to top GWAR," he says. "They bring out the kid in everyone because they're like a puppet show for adults...OK, disturbed adults. My camera was tightly fortified with cling wrap, Ziploc bags and duct tape. I was not so waterproof and was gleefully covered in blood."
