Even though Tapley has a fairly narrow range of automobiles he works on, Coast readers have recognized his specialized gift. "I'm strictly European cars," he says, working on mostly BMWs, though he does service a few Ferraris. He's been in Bedford for five years, but he started his career as a mechanic at a Volkswagen dealer in New Brunswick in 1983, his interest in foreign cars ignited "probably by an article in Road & Track."
