Ally Dee may be the city’s most humble MC. He doesn’t want to talk about this own art, choosing instead to credit the rap community for inspiration and motivation. With a weekly radio show on CKDU—Heard On Air—with 902 NonStop Records co-founder Ryzsky Biz, Dee’s consistent contributions to the local rap scene haven’t gone unnoticed. But he’s not fazed. Upon hearing about his gold win, he says: “That’s pretty cool. I am working away at my own songs, but my focus has been on events and getting exposure for other local artists that are hopefully going to take off in the next year.” Count yourself among them, buddy!
