Owner/chef Mark Giffin is surprised to hear that the Coastal is even in the running for the Best Lunch category. “I thought it would be breakfast,” says the former head chef at Bish World Cuisine. “That’s my stock and trade.” But it does make sense, as the breakfast is served until two on the weekdays and a brunch goes all day on the weekends, crossing through traditional lunch hours. “I’ve always wanted to do a different kind of place.
