On the steaming afternoon of July 13, Citadel Hill turned into an extended Benny Hill sketch as hundreds of White Stripes fans ran around the historic site, braving sunstroke and deafness from the cannon firing, in hopes of catching a glimpse of the kilted seven-nation army. But unless you happened to be bowling at the Halifax Shopping Centre the night before or you actually believed the rumours about the secret show at Locas Bar and Billiards, you bumped aggressive elbows and planted feet along rest of the sweaty masses at that night’s Cunard Centre show.
