The key to Jimmy Georgantas’s success as a landlord is that he takes care of the basics. “Sometimes things go wrong, I jump on it,” he says. He started investing in real estate about 20 years ago, and now owns “four or five” units, housing up to a dozen people. One of his tenants has been with him for 10 years. “The people are comfortable, that’s the idea.”
