“It’s especially nice to win a Best of Halifax award since it’s the people who decide,” says Gypsophilia guitarist Ross Burns. “Thank you Halifax. We are honoured.” After a decade together, thousands of kilometres on tour and five albums including this year’s marvelous Night Swimming, Burns says Gypsophilia still have too much fun together. “We’re best friends in and outside of the music,” he says. On tour with their jumpin’ live shows, and with new tunes in the can for the band’s next release, Burns says, “No rest for the wicked.”
