"I'm out of the rat race," says Brenda Stone from the tranquility of her own salon, a studio space right next to Woozles that she shares with one other stylist and an aesthetician. After 14 years as a stylist, she's figured it out: it's the quiet environment that appeals to her customers, and running her own operation means she gets to share a glass of wine with clients once in awhile, even though she's busy, booked right into the new year.
