parking lot Haligonians like their graffiti nice and legal. Both the NS Power parking lot and the former TexPark are “free walls” where owners allow, or at least turn a blind eye to, graffiti. According to local muralist Scott Tobin, graf writers have been bombing the NSP wall on Morris Street for eight years. It was the city that asked Tobin to paint the front of the TexPark. “They just gave it to me as my own personal playground,” he says of the building that’s been torn down recently. But, so you know, the Halifax Common skate bowl is strictly a no-no.
