Owner Jane MacDougald was a bit flustered to get the call that her Dartmouth art hotspot had won our Best Gallery award. No need to worry though, Jane! The Dart Gallery’s welcoming, accessible approach to art means the win is well-deserved. The Gallery’s hosted a number of themed events and a wide variety of exhibits since opening a little over a year ago—all of them a part of MacDougald’s central theme, that art is fun and damn cool. “I think everyone should be able to enjoy art,” she says. “It’s not just something that’s expensive and unattainable.”
