The family that serves doughnuts out of a bright red school bus together, stays together. And it’s the Connolly family’s tight bond that makes Ol’ School a food truck fave, says owner Noah Connolly, who founded the business while he was still in high school: “We work well together. We have a really good sense of family, and we can work together positively.” The Ol’ School fam—which is currently enjoying the winding down summer season, and welcoming a slower, winter—keeps its focus on quick service, quality product and connecting with people over the nostalgic food. This year’s most popular doughnut? Salted caramel brownie. “We kind of had to cycle it off the menu sometimes because we had to make so much brownie!”
