“We haven’t changed much in the last 42 years,” says co-owner Strato Baltas. Maybe that’s the answer to why John’s Lunch has been voted Best Fish & Chips for the second-year running. You may have to venture over to the darkside, but those battered beauties are certainly worth the trip. Clams, scallops, haddock all served with the crispy chips? You can’t go wrong. So brace the Halifax seas (cough the harbour) and venture over the bridge. You won’t regret it.
