An institution in Halifax, for years on Quinpool and down on Barrington before that, Athens serves up everything from Greek specialties—courtesy of the Panopalis family who owns the joint—to full dinner menus, lunch and a scrumptious brunch for weekend diners. Part of the appeal are those comfortable booths filling the place, offering class and comfort, and don’t hesitate to try the desserts, too. It might be one of those best-kept-secret deals, but Athens offers a yummy selection of finger-licking pies and sweets.
