As many know, the Pizza Corner location of King of Donair shut down in the spring. Hopefully it's not for good---a sign out front says “under renovation.” But even a temporary closure will have many a nocturnal Haligonian crying into their beers, knowing that an essential part of their night---the all important booze-blotting donair---will need to be sourced someplace other than the reigning monarch of spiced and sliced meat treats. Never fear! Best of Food survey runners-up Tony's Donair & Pizza and Venus Pizza are there for you, a prince and a queen of donair flanking the throne of the absent King.

First Runner-up: Tony’s Pizza
Second Runner-up: Venus Pizza
