In 2009, Antoine Larochete, or DJ Cosmo to you sweaty dancers, took Red Bull 3Style's top prize as Canada's most versatile DJ. Known for working hard in that tough opening slot---Larochete got the crowds ready for Nas, Mixmaster Mike and more---he also put out his first original album, Skinny Power, and launched Bleu Nuit electro nights at Tribeca. Sadly though, it's time for this DJ to live up to his name and hit the cosmos. "I'm leaving for Montreal just to do more travelling and link up with artists out there for collaborations and inspiration," he says. "It's good to change things up once in a while. From a creative point of view, I need to get out of my comfort zone, and push myself. Big, big thanks to people who have supported me over the last couple of years. I love Halifax. I just want to share what I have learned here with more people."
