For the first time in years, long-reigning cocktail champ Bitter End comes in second. The dimly lit, surprisingly large yet still cozy and classy Fireside is now Halifax’s premiere place for cocktails. Fireside is already known for drawing a crowd Monday nights with its $5 martini special, so why not give it another title? Don’t bother calling for a reservation though, this 14-year-old establishment is strictly foot traffic, which works for a place that finds itself in such high demand.
