Have you tried The Diplomat? As stylish as the name suggests, its a bread-puddling/chocolate croissant cake, one of the thick and delightful products born out of the Chester-based bakery with its Hydrostone location, Farmers' Market presence and treats found in a few choice eateries in town. They rock the sweet things (carrot cakes, croissants, tarts, pies and cakes), but Julien's is also an essential stop for those looking for a fresh loaf of bread, whether it's white, brown, rye or sourdough that makes your perfect sandwich.
