Early every morning from the bakery in Chester to the north end pastry shop (as well as Pete’s Frootique, jane's on the common, the Italian Gourmet and on Saturdays, the Farmers’ Market) come the breads and sweet treats, the yield of master baker Didier Julien. A stop by their lovely spot in the Hydrostone Market reveals a little slice of Parisienne joy in the variety of breads, from rye to spelt to organic to sourdough. If your palette thrives on sweet things, go for the carrot cakes, the croissants, the fresh fruit tarts, and maybe a bit of tiramisu for a special (or not so-) occasion. 5517 Young, 455-9717
