Brooklyn Warehouse

“We try to stay innovative all the time,” says Brooklyn Warehouse co-owner George Christakos, on his secret of taste success. He recognizes that in the economic recession, a lot of places cottoned on to what he does, the fine dining quality food and drinks in a very casual atmosphere. But with more and more choices in that field, Christakos says the competition is friendly---he name-checks Fid Resto’s Dennis Johnston---but he wants to stay “on point.” Some new ideas in the mix include a beer and beef dinner on Sundays, moving the Sunday night DJ to Mondays for Industry Night, as well as talking to the city about having a permanent, enclosed patio out front, to offer that extra 25 seats year round.

First Runner-up: Obladee, A Wine Bar
