We suppose it follows that the Best Metal Band would also be Best Band To Turn Up Loud. Can’t really have one without the other. Dumpster Mummy has had plenty of practice with deafening decibels—the band just wrapped up a cross-country tour this fall—and with a new album coming out in early 2017, doesn’t play fast and loose with fans’ hearing: “We actually do have free ear plugs on our merch table,” says guitarist Brad Holmans. “Some people take them, some don’t. Metal shows can get fairly loud, so we keep them on hand just in case. Just looking out for your hearing!”
