Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened
The 25th Atlantic Fringe Festival drew to a close in the wee hours of Monday morning as the Fringe handed out its popular Fringe Hits and juried awards.
Ginger Nation was the winner of the Number One Fringe Hit! Award this year. Shawn Hitchins’s one-man autobiographical comedy about a red-headed sperm donor was the most watched show of the festival.
Rounding out the Top 5 Fringe Hit! Award winners are Once: Africville Stories, Up in the Air: A Circus Love Story, Heroic, and Sit On My Face and other tales of the boudoir. Competition among fringe hits was very tight, with Ginger Nation beating Once: Africville Stories by just a handful of tickets.
