A creationist primer

Realizing that my Canadian audience may not be much familiar with the American creationist movement, I've compiled some videos to give you the rough idea.

Peanut Butter, The Atheist's Nightmare!
This is apparently a real creationist, showing that your typical jar of peanut disproves evolution.

Banana: The Athiests Nightmare
Creationist Ray Comfort shows that bananas disprove evolution.

God, you really fucked up on this one
A scientist examines the "banana disproves evolution premise.

Tim, wish Canadians *weren't* familiar with this stuff, but sadly that's not the case. I am a PhD candidate in paleontology at Dal, and have spent most of my adult life dealing with ignorance of evolution amongst by acquaintances, friends, and sadly, family. Recent poll data, while better than the US, is still a bummer: http://www.angus-reid.com/polls/view/16178

More than one in five Canadians think God "created human beings in their present form within the last 10,000 years." Worse, 42% think human beings and dinosaurs co-exist. : (
