I know how flank steak is done. I am saying it was poorly done. Instead of apologizing to me as a professional server would, she spoke to me a if I didn't know "flank" steak. Don't assume a customer who criticizes a "fine dining" establishment belongs at the Keg!

Worst service in Halifax. Our waitress-owner was negligent, and just this side of rude. I had ordered the steak med-rare, it was tougher than shoe leather and when I politely asked to send it back, I was told that "flank steak is supposed to be a chewier steak." She did, however, offer to get something else within a few minutes. I ordered the Pad Thai (good) which arrived over 20 min later. She also got our bills wrong which wouldn't be a big deal except that we waited while she served several other tables before finally coming back to us ( after we told another waiter). She said the computers were down, scratched out the old bills and sent us to the cash. No attempt to apologize or even offer us a coffee. There was no tip when we paid - first time in Halifax in years. I'll never go back.
