Re: “Old Port Pub & Grill”

The Old Port is a family-owned-and-operated affair (literally). I attribute the friendliness and comfortable nature of the staff to this fact--everyone knows everyone else quite well.

Their burgers are excellent (the only thing I've ever ordered, and for good reason), and The Old Port doesn't succumb to the same 6 options many pubs do. The Inside Out burger is actually unique, I haven't seen it anywhere else, and worth going to try. The hamburger they use is fresh and high quality, and contributes to a delicious hand-made patty.

It feels a little funny to drive through empty, echoing Burnside to get a burger for dinner, but this is really the only place I go to for this sort of meal. Cheap, comfortable, and way better tasting than any of its peers.
