OP,this situation will never go away unless bikes have their own bike lanes that are not sharing the main roads .If there were bike paths everywhere like the one along Barrington (between Mc D bridge and upper water st ),or on the bridge itself etc,, then there wouldn't be as many issues. (notice I said as many issues)Existing thoroughfares were already there before the gubment decided lets clutter up the streets with bicycles ,and make commuting more of a pain in the ass. No not everyone wants to bike to work, from what I see everyday ,I cant blame them.Between risking your life to be healthy and breathing in a shitload of exhaust fumes because your sucking in oxygen at a higher rate than the driver of a vehicle.Sure biking is great on the open roads or trails ,but in rush hour traffic?????
