The Hart and Thistle has far and away the best beer (their own micro-brew) in the maritimes. Hands down the best. The food is still hit and miss on occasion, but their craft beer is 10/10 - 24/7.

The craft beers at the H&T have a wide range of flavours that can't be found anywhere else in the city. They are not all extreme. For the majority of palates, they are quite an exceptional treat. There are extreme examples thrown in as well, which are greatly appreciated by extreme beer drinkers (whatever that means), but they are far from the norm. If you don't see balance, then you obviously have never been to the H&T, and have never even bothered to review the brewer's blog to examine the beers on tap. In other words, you don't know what you are talking about. Ignorance, thy name is Bo Gus.

Premiere Wine and Spirits is the best for beer. I don't know if that is supposed to be covered under liquor.
