And why no runners up? I guess thecoast.ca got 100% of the votes....

Our council is a disgrace. We need a shakeup in how they operate, and a smaller council is a step in the right direction. Let's cut the fat and put some of their salaries to better uses.

I sometimes wonder who votes on this. Sloane may mean well, but that's the only positive thing I can say about her. She has a an automatic knee-jerk reaction against any mention of "development", and listening to her speak at council is downright embarrassing. The woman loves to hear herself talk, but is often is uninformed and at odds with the very community she is representing.

The only way she survives reelection is by aligning herself with the special interest groups who feel "threatened", and make sure to cast every last vote. Probably the same hippies voting on this. Of course the rest of the people in D12 are blissfully unaware of the issues and often don't bother to vote. We need to change that.

Food and beer are both a constant disappointment here. Have been almost 1/2 dozen times, and have never had a meal that I'd order again. I wanted to like the place, but it's no good. And the beer is second rate - I'd much prefer Rouge's or pretty much anyone else. I eventually learned to just order a Keiths.
