I liked Hannibal more than most, I saw it three times in four days when it came out. But Red Dragon drags the whole arc down—"Hannibal Lecter" shouldn't have been a franchise (yes I know about Manhunter). Hopkins embarrassed himself. The whole thing was a pointless cash grab, trading off Hannibal's box office, which is a different thing because the book AND the film were highly anticipated follow-ups; Harris just bungled the story so badly by having Clarice and Lecter end up together.

It's not a direct tarnish, but I think it diminishes Silence just a little bit. Anyway Dino De Laurentiis just died so hopefully the franchise did too.

I don't need to defend Jenn, but when someone is calling her a knockoff no-talent it's hard not to, because: are you fucking serious? You talk as if Jenn fell out of some A+R rep's Blackberry when in fact—look up the last few NSMW and ECMAs if you want some evidence—the music industry, local and national, rarely rewards her for anything even though she is one of the best songwriters and THE BEST voice in town. She actually DOESN'T play the game, DOESN'T have an act, and blows nearly everyone, lady or gent, out of the fucking water.

Aim your vitriol at someone who deserves it.

Is that right, Paul? Without you, Mark Little and Kyle Dooley never would've met in another province and started Picnicface at King's? Why don't we be honest and unhitch ourselves from that train, huh?

Do you think this positively toned screed is really hiding your desperate grab for credit? Not just some of it—which you got—but THE MOST IMPORTANT parts, like some kind of Halifax comedy Forrest Gump?
