    To tiredofinaccuratemedia.

This story appeared in the OnScreen page, where we often look at stories in the local film and TV business. This appears to be a case where taxpayers money is being spent, and has been spent for decades, in a superannuated purpose. This may seem a waste of time to you, but we feel that a municipal organization, even a toothless one, being paid to rate the movies we get to watch is worth taking a look at. Should the government influence what we get to see in cinemas? And should we continue to support such a thing?

You suggest the writer "didn't get their facts right," which is a serious accusation, then you provide no examples of error. Your opinion is that Mr MacDonald is a man with a grudge. Is he mistaken? Service Nova Scotia and municipal relations spokesperson Susan Tate thinks he may be, and you should feel free to do the same. But MacDonald is a credible and respected voice for film art in Halifax, a programmer for the Atlantic Film Festival, and someone with direct experience with the MFCB. The questions he raises are valid and should be discussed.

We appreciate that you took to time to avail yourself of the information we provided and contacted one of the censors. And if this piece is, as you say, "an unfair misrepresentation," and "CERTAINLY NOT what this group is "mostly" doing with their time," then what are they doing? What service are we paying them to provide? Is it of value to the province? Please feel free to let us know.

Until then, thanks for sharing your anonymous, humble opinion.

Picnicface just posted this on Facebook:

"If you have shared the page on Brian on Facebook and Twitter, please let your friends and followers know that Brian has checked in to let us know he is safe. And please remove any of the original posts about him missing to avoid confusion. At this point we would like to withdraw from public discussion of the matter and keep it to family and friends. But thank you all for your support and love."

Forgot to mention, the film was produced and directed by Donna Davies of Halifax-based Ruby Tree Films.

Bo Gus, they have a way to enhance the existing imagery to 3D in post-production. I'm not sure I understand the technical aspects of the procedure. For the most part, I agree with you, though I thought Hugo, Pina and Jackass 3D were all improved by the tech (though they were all shot in 3D to begin with).

But we LOVE YOU Mr Cranky, especially that you keep reading and commenting (even as we suck).

The point you've missed is that while there are excellent, quality burgers to be found in the establishments you mention, there are no local restos solely devoted to gourmet burgers, a distinguishing characteristic of the trend happening elsewhere.

Sorry, even further clarification: allNovaScotia did, in fact, break the story this morning. However, we got word of it from elsewhere.
