I call bullshit. If the metal scene doesn't need the coast, why do people (like metalhead) continually bitch when the paper don't cover enough metal?
Also, Loukas wrote a POSITIVE REVIEW. G-damn, I just don't understand ya'll sometimes!!!!
Fuck it. Go to the Judas Priest cover band show tonight at the Seahorse, by the way. They're AMAZING.
What can I say? I love gay. And the Gay-deons.
This probably makes me sound really old but I saw her back in the day with Hole (at EDGEFEST, my first and last time.) She was funny and very dry, just like her dad. Her first album was kind of blegh (with the exception of "Followed the Waves") but I feel like the second one will be better. Also, she endorses David Suzuki.
I was there too - they were fantastic, as were all the fellow bus riders jangling noisemakers and attempting to dance, even when things got bumpy. Made my night.

"Lydia Lunch is the Margaret Atwood of no-wave"
I want to get this tattooed on my ass. Great job, Laura.
Seriously guys, go to Jane's or something if you're looking for high-end fancy brunches with top-notch service. I've never ordered anything other than brunch at Mary's. Mary's is brunch and you get the same meal and same quality each time. Also, it's around the corner from my place, everyone who is poor and lives in the North End eats there, it's cozy and super laid back, the waitress knows us by name, and i like it. It's a neighbourhood joint. It suits most of our standards just fine. Halifax needs places like Mary's, just like it needs restaurants like Bear and Coastal Coffee.
Grinchy.
